Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist The healthcare provider is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join the team in the operating room. The role involves performing scrub duties, maintaining sterile supplies and environment, and assisting in the preparation and care of surgical patients, particularly within cardiovascular settings.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, at least 2 years of Surgical Tech experience, including 1 year of cardiovascular operating room scrubbing experience, and CO License (DORA).
• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Assists in surgery by passing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and handling specimens.
• Participates in room turnover, cleaning, and restocking supplies.
• Promotes adherence to the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards.
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency.
• May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts; specifics discussed during interview.
• Handles surgical instruments, case carts, equipment, and performs laboratory specimen management.
• Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment and assisting during cardiovascular procedures.
