About the Position

Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Hours Experience: 2+ years in one location; 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have: - Must be able to read tele strips Description: The position involves working in an Observation Unit with 16 new observation beds for patients. Clinician to patient ratio is either 4:1 or 5:1 depending on unit needs. The patient population consists of adults with a bed count of 16 and a census range of 10-16. General ED nursing skills required include assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Asap, and Clin doc is necessary. Floating and rotating shifts are required for this position.
