Independent Licensed Therapist

Job Overview Perspectives Counseling Centers, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team in Novi, MI. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you will play a key role in improving healthcare for everyone. Benefits Competitive hourly pay range of $29.00 - $52.00 per hour based on experience, education, and certifications Uncapped productivity incentives Flexible work models and paid time off when needed Health and well‑being benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and family support resources Professional development opportunities with continuing education reimbursement and dedicated learning time Incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility) Primary Responsibilities Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders Provide treatment for mental health conditions using evidence‑based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and other modalities Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements Build strong provider‑patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers Required Qualifications Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field Clear, active, and unrestricted license (LMSW, LPC, or LMFT) in the state of Michigan Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of professional experience post‑master’s degree providing behavioral health services Experience delivering direct psychotherapy to individuals, families, and children/adolescents Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively UnitedHealth Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer under applicable law.
