About the Role

CUERNO is seeking a hospitality-driven Bartender to join our flagship New York restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, creating memorable guest experiences, and executing Cuerno's cocktail, wine, spirits, and agave program with consistency and precision.

Working closely with the Bar Manager, Beverage Director, and General Manager, you will prepare and serve beverages to the highest standards while providing warm, engaging hospitality. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft cocktails, knowledgeable about spirits and wine, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining an organized, efficient bar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality by creating a welcoming and engaging experience for every guest.
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Cuerno's recipes and standards.
  • Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and service.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of cocktails, agave spirits, tequila, mezcal, wine, and the food menu to confidently guide guest recommendations.
  • Ensure all beverages are prepared efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and daily bar setup and breakdown procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to management.
  • Accurately process guest orders and payments through the POS system.
  • Work collaboratively with servers, runners, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Assist with bar cleanliness, glassware organization, garnish preparation, and restocking throughout service.
  • Participate in ongoing beverage education and training to continually enhance product knowledge and service standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in an upscale, high-volume, or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, beer, tequila, mezcal, and spirits.
  • Fine dining experience preferred; Mexican restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Experience with restaurant POS systems.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.00) plus tips
