We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented HR Generalist I to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines, with a primary focus on recruiting and talent acquisition. You'll play a key role in attracting top talent, supporting new hire onboarding, and helping create a positive workplace culture from a candidate's first interaction through their employee journey. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, eager to learn, and passionate about helping people succeed. Talent Acquisition & Recruiting (60-70%) As the primary coordinator of the recruitment process, you'll help ensure an exceptional candidate experience while supporting hiring managers in finding top talent. Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions. Post and manage job openings across company career sites, job boards, and social media platforms. Review applications and conduct initial candidate screens based on established hiring criteria. Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams. Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, and employment verification. Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process. Participate in job fairs, community outreach events, and other recruiting initiatives. Assist with candidate sourcing efforts and employee referral program administration. Help promote our employer brand and support talent attraction strategies. Human Resources Administration (30-40%) You'll also support key HR processes that contribute to an engaging and positive employee experience. Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities. Maintain personnel files and HRIS records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Respond to routine employee inquiries and partner with HR team members to address more complex issues. Assist with benefits administration and employee communications. Process employment-related changes, including promotions, transfers, status changes, and separations. Support employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and company events. Generate reports and maintain accurate HR records and documentation. Assist with compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local employment laws. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Human Resources. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. 0-2 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, administration, customer service, or a related field. Internship or prior HR experience is a plus. Interest in pursuing professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR is encouraged. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams. Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
