PCA - Med Surg

Bring your passion for post-surgical care and the surgical oncology population to help us achieve our mission of making life better for the patients on the 4th floor at Banner Gateway Medical Center. Our 4th floor Med Surg unit is a fast-paced, 31-bed medical-surgical unit, with a patient population comprised of primarily post-operative patients, from advanced cancer removal surgery to laparoscopic weight-loss procedures in the bariatric population.

As a PCA on our Medical Surgical unit you are responsible for vitals signs, blood glucose checks, weights, ADLs, I&Os, encouraging mobility & incentive spirometer use. You will be answering call lights in conjunction with our nursing team and also have the opportunity to cross train as a Health Unit Coordinator. We are looking for a team player who is ready to work and learn!

This is a full time NIGHT shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week from 6pm-6:30am. We use a rotating weekends and holidays schedule. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift coverage and also enjoy an additional 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.
