Wiring Technician (CEB) - 1st shift

Job TitleJob DescriptionResponsibilities• Wiring & Assembly: Perform point-to-point wiring of control enclosures, panels, and backplanes according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.• Cable Routing & Termination: Route, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables while ensuring proper labeling and identification.• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials to accurately complete assemblies.• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to verify proper connections, wire routing, and compliance with quality and workmanship standards.• Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform continuity checks and basic functional testing; identify and correct wiring issues or discrepancies.• Material Handling: Gather required materials, components, and tools; ensure correct parts are used for each build.• Documentation: Complete production documentation, checklists, and quality records accurately and on time.• Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives.Qualifications• High School Diploma or GED • Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or manufacturing environment preferred • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Familiarity with hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters) • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety • Basic computer skills for documentation and work instructionsPhysical RequirementsThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull.Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required.Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position.Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position.Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the positionWork EnvironmentThe employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedureVarying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas.Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require.Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas.Time Travel RequiredNo travel required for this positionThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.Our Core Principals: Safety.
