About the Role

The Company is in search of a Department Chair for Radiology at Hartford Hospital. The successful candidate will be a board-certified radiologist with an M.D. or equivalent degree, possessing a strong record of clinical and administrative leadership. This role is pivotal in guiding the Department to deliver high-quality, accessible, and patient-centered care, while also fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. The Department Chair will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership across a complex, multi-site clinical environment, and may also serve on the physician board or executive committee, depending on the future governance structure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in clinical leadership, physician development, and mentorship, as well as an interest in academics and experience in talent recruitment and retention. Strong communication skills, integrity, and the ability to build trust and collaboration across teams are essential. The role requires a leader with a commitment to inclusive and equitable leadership, and prior administrative experience is preferred. The Department Chair will work closely with the organization to ensure alignment with its mission and values, and to expand clinical services and innovation across the regional network.
