NICU Registered Nurse

Start Date: 07/06/2026 Hourly Pay Rate ($): 56.95

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must have delivery attendance experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Epic experience required.
• No first-time travelers.
• Patient ratio: 1:2-3.
• Float requirement: Yes; may float to NOU with 1:4-6 ratios.
• Expected to float to normal newborn nursery.
• Weekend requirement: Yes, every other weekend.
• Holiday requirement: Yes, at least 1 major and 1 minor holiday.
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling, every other weekend obligation, 2 major and 1 minor holiday (FT and PRN).
• Required certifications: BLS & NRP.
• Unit skills: Attend deliveries (vaginal and C-section), assist with newborn transition, admit/discharge neonates in NICU and NOU, coordinate care with multidisciplinary team, educate and update parents, assist new mothers with breastfeeding.
• Required skills: Placement of IVs in neonates, drawing labs, management of ventilators and central lines, medication administration (IV, IM, SQ, ETT, OGT, NGT, oral, rectal, topical), blood administration, compassionate patient care.
• Procedures performed: Chest tube insertion assistance, PICC, UAC, UVC placement, X-rays, CBG, ABGs, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, EEGs, intubation, oxygen and nitric oxide administration, exchange transfusions.

Shift Details:

• Night 3x12-hour shifts: 18:45 - 07:15.
