The Four Seasons Resort L?na'i is looking for a Cook 1 who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Perched above Hulopo?e Bay, Los Angeles' Malibu Farm, a favorite of local residents, surfers and A-list celebrities alike, features the freshest local and organic ingredients for delicious lunch offerings. Sample items include Chop salad, Grilled local fish and Soy-marinated steak sandwiches. In the evening hours, relax poolside with refreshing island cocktails as the sun sets on another glorious day.

What You'll Do

The Cook I independently manages a kitchen station while preparing and executing high-quality menu items to established recipes, presentation standards, and guest specifications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Independently manage an assigned kitchen station, preparing and executing menu items in accordance with standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, guest specifications, and presentation standards
• Maintain proper mise en place, monitor food quality, taste, temperature, and plating, and support efficient service through effective communication with culinary leadership and team members
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior cooks while contributing to a productive, organized, and high-performing kitchen environment
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use in accordance with operational standards
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, par levels, food storage, and temperature controls while identifying shortages, minimizing waste, and supporting food cost management initiatives
• Uphold HACCP food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant kitchen environment

What To Bring

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii Food Handler's Card and ServSafe is required for this role
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
• Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean all equipment and utensils. Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task
