Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with arterial line experience and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience for a day/night rotation contract position.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Day/night rotation schedule
• Patient population includes critically ill, post-surgical, and ventilated patients
• Involves management of arterial lines, PA lines, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with ICP monitoring devices including ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVDs
• Management of pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
• Assist with line insertion and maintenance of lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Arterial line experience required
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Critical care experience required
• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with PA lines and waveform interpretation preferred
• 2 manager references required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a complex patient population including post-surgical and ventilated patients
• Responsibilities include ICP monitoring and management of specialty drainage devices (ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, EVDs)
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 75-mile radius rule applies
