Rig Tenders Rigger - LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Job Description General Description: This position is responsible for assisting in the functions required for crane operations. This includes assisting with equipment transport and set-up, basic maintenance, organizing and cleaning of rigging equipment, trucks, and signaling crane lifts. Must be willing and able to work callouts after hours. Essential Duties & Job Functions Ensure a safe work environment. Participate in CCI’s STEPBACK safety program and stay compliant with online training modules in Virtual Training Assistant (EHS). Review and comply with the various Client’s safety programs. Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times. Assist per OSHA specifications. Assist with basic crane maintenance. Other duties as assigned. This position has no supervisory duties. Must work with experienced operator or another more qualified rigger. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of crane hand signals. Ability to identify and inspect rigging hardware, slings, and tag lines, and check for damage to rigging equipment. General crane knowledge, including load-handling safety practices and use of American Society of Mechanical Engineers hand signals. The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions, occasionally to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Hearing protection and safety eyewear are required in most working situations. Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. NCCCO Rigger 1 Card or equivalent. TWIC card. Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements Mobility: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service; push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet. Hearing: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms. Visual Acuity: Adequate to perform above tasks and take hand signals. Lifting: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height, and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet. Range of Motion: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded during pre‑hire/post‑offer functional capacity evaluation.
