BENEFITS & PTO: Natural Retreats contributes to both employee and dependent premiums!15 vacation days9 holidays7 sick days5 NR Days with a $1,500 allowance to book a NR/360 Blue vacation home!Maternity AND Paternity LeaveMedical (Traditional PPO-style plans and High Deductible Plan w/ HSA)DentalVisionFlexible Spending Accounts (medical and dependent care)401K retirement plan options with 3.5% company matchShort and Long-Term Disability Insurance (100% company paid)Basic Life Insurance Policy of $50,000 (100% company paid)Supplemental Life Insurance (Employee, Spouse, Child)ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform diversified duties to troubleshoot and/or maintain core home systems (i.e. HVAC, audio/visual, pool / hot tub service, lock installation, septic systems, plumbing, electric, radiant heating systems, mechanics and/or appliances, etc.) in addition to the following:Basic repairs to interiors and exteriors of homes (i.e. paint, repair dry wall, basic construction, etc.)Move equipment, appliances, furniture, etc.Remove items from home for disposalMaintain lawn, walkways, driveways, etc.Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustmentsPick up trashPerform regular preventative maintenance in homesPerform a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functionsProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs to homes as well as regular preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance repairsPerform general maintenance arrival audits prior to owner or guest arrivals and departure audits upon owner or guest departureRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing dutiesTrack and maintain assigned tool inventoryMaintain detailed records of service performed in all units, according to the daily timesheetRecord billable items and hours to be billed to guests and/or owners for work ordersCommunicate the completion and progress of assigned work ordersComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas to include work vehicleParticipate in snow and ice removal as neededProvide coverage of the emergency on-call phoneEXPERIENCE & SKILLS:REQUIREDValid driver's license, 3+ years of driving experience and good driving recordAbility to pass pre-employment testing which may include drug testing and/or background screeningPrevious experience in a similar roleBasic knowledge of audio/visual, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repairProficiency in technology, such as cell phones and basic computer skills with the ability to learn new softwareAbility to lift 75 lbs. and be active up to 85% of the work dayBasic organizational skills to effectively record and catalogue documents on work performedAbility to exercise good judgementProactive and flexible in approach to job duties and problem-solvingAvailable to manage multiple tasks/projects at onceStrong customer focusKeen attention to detailDESIREDHVAC CertificationExperience in the hospitality industryHOURS OF WORK: This is a full time position. Due to the nature of the job, the Maintenance Technician should be flexible with their hours. Weekends and holidays are required and will generally be busy and considered working days with guest arrivals and departures although these can be covered on request and approval. We encourage all of our team members to take two (2) days off per week where possible. Guests can arrive at unpredictable times, and the Maintenance Technician should be available in case of an emergency, which includes evening and on-call hours. Generally, this means working some inconsistent hours. Exact daily schedule may vary and differ from in season to off season.
