Inpatient Registered Dietitian

Department: Dietary / Inpatient Registered Dietitian
Care Setting: Inpatient Acute
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Shift Length: 8 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

 

Position Summary

The Inpatient Registered Dietitian plans, coordinates, and participates in the nutritional care process for the inpatient population, ensuring high-quality nutritional care. The dietitian collaborates with food service, nursing, and medical staff to understand patient needs and ensure diet-related physician orders are followed.

The position may also provide outpatient dietitian coverage as needed and participate in quality improvement initiatives, Joint Commission processes, and annual reviews of applicable standards and scoring guidelines with the Food Services Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required

• Minimum 1 year of hospital dietitian experience

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through CDR

• Alaska Dietitian License

• BLS — AHA
