Job Title

Registered Nurse – Renal Medical-Surgical Unit (Night Shift)

Location

Zanesville, OH

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a 21-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit, including those with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform frequent assessments and manage complex medical-surgical conditions requiring high-acuity care
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Float as needed within scope to similar Medical-Surgical units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarder areas

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory; must be clearly documented in submission — no training will be provided
• Must meet all requirements at time of submission; competency assessment required on Day 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for renal patients in an acute care setting strongly preferred
• Demonstrated adaptability and strong critical thinking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
