A&P Mechanic

A&P MechanicWinyah Air is looking to hire an A&P Mechanic for their location in Georgetown, SC. The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft airframes, engines, and related systems to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesInspect airframes, engines, and components for wear, damage, or defectsPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per manufacturer and FAA guidelinesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systemsRemove, install, and test engines, propellers, and related componentsComplete and sign off maintenance logs and required documentationConduct pre-flight and post-flight inspectionsEnsure compliance with FAA Part 43 and Part 145 regulationsCoordinate with pilots, inspectors, and other maintenance staffMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentAll other duties as assigned by the Director of MaintenanceEducation Required:High school or equivalentPreferredPrevious experience with the Pilatus PC-12Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman's Certificate.Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Medical Certificate.Avionics or NDT (non-destructive testing) knowledgeStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsSkills And ExperienceAbility to meet all FAA requirements and approval for the Director of Maintenance Designation.Ten (10) plus years' experience in aviation maintenance supervisor positions.At least 10 current years' experience in commercial aviation maintenance leadership.Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certificate.Inspection Authorization (IA) license preferred.Minimum of ten (10) years' experience maintaining turboprop aircraftDemonstrated leadership and facilitation skillsProven background of engaging and motivating employees at all levels to maintain a cohesive team and high employee retentionQualificationsFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent; A&P school or military aviation maintenance training preferredMinimum 2 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience (varies by employer)Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, tools, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsPhysical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periodsWillingness to work varied shifts, including nights/weekends if neededAbility to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment with high attention to detail.Benefits Include:401(K) Plan with Employer Match, Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision), Paid PTO, Flexible Spending Accounts (Health and Dependent Care), Life insurance, Short term and long term disability, Full Holiday Schedule and more.
