Country United States of America /*generated inline style */ State / County California /*generated inline style */ City Santa Ana /*generated inline style */ Division Fasteners /*generated inline style */ Company Cherry /*generated inline style */ Function Engineering /*generated inline style */ Workplace Type On-Site /*generated inline style */ Position type Full Time /*generated inline style */ /*generated inline style */ /*generated inline style */ Opportunity ID 21372/*generated inline style */ Job Description Main ResponsibilitiesDetermines what equipment, materials, tooling, methods of manufacture and facilities are required to produce a particular product in a scheduled quantity and at the lowest cost consistent with quality specificationsDevelops tooling layouts for progressive stamping dies.Troubleshoot progressive stamping dies for deep draw, nut blanks, washer, and shell type products.Work directly with tool designers and product engineers to develop new and more efficient dies to replace aging tooling.Develops drawings and other engineering documentation to improve manufacturing processes and product quality for aerospace fastenersProvides technical support for cost saving projectsAnalyzes specifications and drawings to ensure that products are manufactured to the customer’s requirements, and reviews statistical process control data to recommend appropriate actionsWorks with product engineering in the design phase of new products and redesign of existing products to ensure product manufacturabilityDevelops standardized work instruction, setup procedures and supporting documentationComplies with all environmental safe practices and regulationsReads all MSDS’ and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirementsPerforms other related duties as assigned or requestedQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or 5 years or more of experience in manufacturing engineering with an emphasis in die stamping/progressive die design.Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques – tooling, metal stamping, assembly and testing.Working knowledge of production and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing environment.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with a wide range of individuals from varying economic, social, and educational backgrounds in a manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical, time management and analysis skills.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional/trade publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.Reads blueprints.Uses computer software (MS Office): Excel, Word; PowerPoint.Tool design and process development.Experience in CAD programs, SolidWorks, AutoCad required.Experience in forming simulation software, DeForm preferred./*generated inline style */ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./*generated inline style */ For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $100000 to $137000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.
