Medical Assistant (MA) - Rehab Occupational Health

Location Detail 440 New Britain Ave Planville (10141) Shift Detail M-F no holidays or weekends Job Summary We’re currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA) to join our Occupational Health and Rehabilitation department. This is a dual role that requires both clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities Responsible for a variety of patient care functions under direction of physicians and mid-level providers. Greets & escorts patients to exam room. Obtains & records vital signs into the Electronic Medical Record. Maintains a safe & clean environment for the patient. Maintains equipment & supplies. Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families & coworkers. Performs additional duties as assigned. Education Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below. Experience In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered. Licensure, Certification, Registration Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
