Data Scientist - Freewheel

Salary: $88,725.31 - 184,844.39 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a technical field such as data science, computer science, engineering, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, or operations research; a masters degree or PhD is a plus. Equivalent coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience may also be considered.
• At least two years of experience with Python, SQL, and implementing analytical models.
• Experience with AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake; experience with other on-premises or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI platforms, large language models, and AI orchestration technologies such as Amazon Bedrock, LangChain, or LangGraph is desired.
• Experience with linear or nonlinear optimization models is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau is a plus.
• Skills in data manipulation, ETL pipelines, and building and evaluating machine learning models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent working skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects on deadline.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and a strong interest in advertising technology.
• Relevant work experience: 2–5 years.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define data-driven questions and run experiments that improve products and services.
• Develop and refine algorithms, software, and automated processes for integrating and cleaning data from multiple sources.
• Analyze large datasets using rigorous statistical and data science methods, including predictive modeling and machine learning.
• Build ad technology solutions using statistical models and machine learning methods.
• Develop mathematical and statistical solutions to complex business problems, with minimal supervision where appropriate.
• Design data-mining models and protocols to identify trends and improve customer and product insights.
• Use historical data and predictive analytics to anticipate customer behavior and inform business decisions.
• Create forecasts and strategic recommendations from business data to support projects.
• Research and apply emerging technologies, data science principles, analytical methods, and visualization techniques to surface insights and support decisions.
• Contribute independently and collaboratively across multiple projects, exercising sound judgment in significant matters.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance and work nights, weekends, or variable schedules as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Posted base-pay ranges are $118,300.41–$177,450.62 in New York, $103,512.86–$184,844.39 in Illinois, and $88,725.31–$164,306.12 in California; compensation depends on job-related factors.
