Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors in accordance with RN scope of practice and facility policies.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care using all four phases of the nursing process, coordinating with patients, families, and the inter-professional team.
• Administer and monitor patient care therapies and procedures, recognize and communicate changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including execution of discharge orders, discharge teaching, and coordination with Case Management.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care activities.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and clinical applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous clinical nursing experience in a progressive care, stepdown, or IMC/PCU setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
