Make a meaningful impact supporting students in grades 6 through 12 as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant providing maternity leave coverage for the 2026 school year. Enjoy the flexibility of both full and part-time contracts, working with a collaborative school-based team focused on helping students reach their communication goals.
In this contract role, you’ll benefit from guaranteed hours, receive compensation for both direct and indirect services, and work exclusively within your contracted schedule—no additional duties like bus or parent pickup required. Travel therapists may also qualify for stipends to help with the transition.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (minimum) in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to connect with adolescents and work within a multidisciplinary education team
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students in grades 6–12
- Support implementation of IEP goals under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist
- Maintain accurate progress documentation and contribute to student reporting
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate actively in scheduled meetings and student planning sessions
