Job Summary
AeroGo is seeking a Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to help build and optimize the manufacturing systems, processes, and operational infrastructure that support our growing production environment.
This role is responsible for defining how we manufacture our products by developing and maintaining manufacturing routings, Bills of Operations (BOOs), work centers, labor standards, capacity models, and ERP manufacturing data. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Planning, and Supply Chain teams, this position will establish accurate manufacturing process structures, measure operational performance, identify constraints, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and throughput.
The ideal candidate combines strong industrial engineering principles with hands-on manufacturing experience in a low-volume, high-mix production environment. They are analytical, data-driven, collaborative, and passionate about creating efficient, scalable manufacturing processes.
This position is 100% on-site and reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- BOM Verification & Formatting: Review engineering BOMs for completeness, accuracy, proper structure, and compliance with internal formatting standards before release.
- Data Cleanup: Identify and resolve discrepancies such as missing parts, incorrect part numbers, formatting errors, or duplicate entries within BOMs.
- Analyze equipment, labor, and resource requirements to support forecasted demand.
- Conduct time studies and develop labor standards for manufacturing operations.
- Engineering Change Support: Interpret engineering drawings and apply updates driven by Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in coordination with Engineering.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in partnership with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Planning to ensure BOMs are optimized for manufacturability, procurement, and scheduling.
- ERP System Entry: Use SAP Business ByDesign to create, manage, and update BOMs, routing information, and related engineering documents.
- Standardization Initiatives: Contribute to the development and enforcement of standardized BOM templates, version control practices, and documentation protocols.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities to improve BOM management processes, reduce errors, and streamline communication between departments.

Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship is required due to work associated with military defense customers and access to controlled engineering documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, operations engineering, or a similar manufacturing-focused role.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, part structures, and general manufacturing processes.
- Experience developing manufacturing routings, labor standards, process flows, and production systems.
- Knowledge of capacity planning, time studies, labor utilization, and manufacturing performance measurement.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in documentation and data validation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage and manipulate structured data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and utilize production data.
- Experience in ERP systems and structured document workflows. Experience with SAP Business ByDesign is a plus.
- Experience in a low-volume, high-mix production environment preferred.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across departments while building trusting relationships and positively influencing others.
Compensation & Benefits
This salaried, exempt position with starting pay range of $90,000 – $105,000 depending on experience.
Excellent benefits include medical (HSA and preferred plan options), dental, vision, 401(k) matching (50% of the first 6% of employee contributions), Employee Assistance Program, and referral bonus. Paid time off includes 15 vacation, 7 sick days, and 10 paid holidays.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Also required is the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Must be able to walk extended distances over uneven ground while wearing proper PPE.
