Responsibilities Technical project execution for the day-to-day success of multiple concurrent projects Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project teams Leveraging a principles-first approach to develop practical solutions for challenging engineering problems in combination with a deep understanding of codes, standards, and historical industry practices Self-performing and advising others in complex analysis, repair design, hands‑on fieldwork, and preparation of technically excellent client deliverables (e.g., written reports, presentations, construction details, and specifications) Providing high‑quality technical reviews of work completed by others Sealing project documents as the Engineer of Record, as appropriate Project management , including client development, project initiation, scoping, and assembling appropriate project teams; and managing internal and external client expectations, deliverables, and financials Mentorship , including exemplifying WJE’s culture of shared destiny and knowledge sharing to better the team around you: locally and company-wide, formally and informally, on‑and‑off projects, for technical topics and overall career development Contributions to local practice development and company-wide objectives Proactively fostering new and existing client relationships in pursuit of project work you are excited about Developing genuine local rapport with contractors, designers, and building officials in Hawaii's unique culture Participating in the attraction, development, and engagement of up-and-coming WJE professionals Collaborating with other WJE practice leaders for in‑house knowledge‑sharing and training initiatives Engaging in meaningful involvement in industry-related professional organizations, conferences, and technical committees View the full job posting to learn more about WJE’s one-of-a‑kind culture, robust total compensation structure, industry-leading benefits, and what it will take to be successful in this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
