Senior Trust Officer

Role Overview The Senior Trust Officer will play an active role in a team of trust and company administrators working closely with Trust Managers and Director to deliver consistently high-quality service in the daily administration of a portfolio of Trust, Company and Private Client relationships. They will be an organiser, a communicator, a finisher and a helper, taking pride in everything they do and respecting clients. The Senior Trust Officer will be given responsibility for a portfolio of clients and will be expected to know their affairs closely, maintaining all records, drafting minutes and correspondence, ensuring due diligence, reconciling bank accounts and recording transactions. They will also manage complex matters with less support and maintain files that differentiate correspondence, accounting records and important documents. The Senior Trust Officer will ensure client funds are managed effectively and efficiently with utmost accuracy and will establish rapport with clients, bankers, lawyers and other professionals, communicating by telephone, fax, and letter, accepting instructions and attending face-to-face meetings when required. Duties and Responsibilities Administration of Trust, Company and other Private Client relationships in accordance with the relevant terms of the Trust Deed, Memorandum and Articles of Association and other terms of engagement Make distributions to beneficiaries Draft trust and company minutes and correspondence to clients Maintain and update Client Due Diligence Complete Annual Trust and Company Reviews File documents using efficient filing techniques Prepare annual validations Liaise with settlors, beneficiaries, investment managers, bankers, lawyers and other related professionals Assist with Company Secretarial functions by taking part in the transfer of shares and update records for changes in directors and secretaries Assist Directors, Managers and Administrators with projects as and when required Assist with projects and ad hoc assignments as and when required Maintain a good knowledge of company secretarial, compliance and anti-money laundering practice Assist with the preparation of meeting documents for client meetings Such other duties as may be required from time to time Person Specification Qualified/part qualified or willing to undertake study for a professional qualification such as STEP, ICSA, ACCA or ACA or alternatively many years of trust and company administration experience Proven experience within a Trust Administration role Enthusiastic Excellent time and organisational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Enjoyment of working within a busy team within and contributing to the efficient operation of the portfolio Ability to work with a comprehensive IT package including electronic filing of correspondence and permanent records and use of flexible database system #J-18808-Ljbffr
