Assistant Manager/ Employee Experience Manager

WEST BEND STORE 1717 Clarence Ct West Bend, WI 53095, USA The Employee Experience Manager (EEM) is responsible for overseeing employee recruitment and development, driving store productivity, and ensuring sales and margin targets are met. The role includes managing back‑of‑house operations and the hardlines section on the sales floor, handling communication channels, conducting career path check‑ins, ensuring compliance with online training programs, and supporting policy development. The EEM may also provide input on budgetary spending related to vendors, systems, and projects. Responsibilities Focus on individual and store production goals while maximizing donations and secondary market efforts to achieve budgeted sales and margin. Manage the hiring and onboarding process for new hires, assessing progress and readiness. Oversee hard‑line product rotation to maintain new merchandise flow. Provide adequate donation and/or POS coverage, maintain customer service levels, product availability, and store environment standards. Ensure employees complete required online training and support performance development. Accurately enter report data on time, monitor team accuracy, and coach as necessary. Analyze report data to identify trends and recommend actionable insights for improvement. Communicate and implement policies, manage communication binders and boards, and address team concerns. Monitor sales floor compliance with operational standards and safety guidelines. Recognize individual strengths and delegate challenging assignments to enhance satisfaction and productivity. Partner with coworkers for development opportunities. Participate as a subject‑matter expert on formal or departmental projects, balancing project work with routine duties. Research, analyze, and solve advanced problems with independent judgment. Operate at an advanced professional level within the field of specialization. Requirements Two years of college education or equivalent, plus a minimum of five years of experience. Forklift certification if required at site. Flexible schedule, including at least two closing shifts per week and alternate weekends; additional nights and weekend shifts may be required. Working phone for communication accessibility.
