At Nagel Assisted Living in Waconia, we're hiring a Full-Time Day Shift Caregiver / CNA to help our residents start their days feeling comfortable, respected, confident, and cared for. Be the Familiar Face at the Start of Their Day Morning care is some of the most personal care we provide. You’ll help residents get out of bed, get dressed, prepare for breakfast, move safely through their morning routines, and get ready for whatever their day holds. But how you do those things matters just as much as getting them done. You’ll learn which resident likes to sleep a few extra minutes. Who wants to pick out their own clothes. Who needs a little encouragement in the morning. Who loves conversation and who prefers a quieter start. That's the difference between completing tasks and actually knowing the person you're caring for. What You'll Get $18.00 - $24.00/hour based on experience Full-Time Consistent 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM day shift Every other weekend Hands-on experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care Opportunity to grow your caregiving skills Opportunity to pursue CNA certification Supportive, family-owned senior living organization A consistent community where you can build real relationships with residents What Your Morning Might Look Like You’ll arrive as the community begins waking up. Throughout your shift, you may: Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assist with mobility and transfers Support residents living with memory loss Help residents prepare for meals and activities Follow individualized care plans and daily routines Provide companionship and encouragement Notice and communicate changes in a resident's condition or behavior Help maintain a clean, comfortable living environment Work alongside caregivers and nursing staff to provide dependable care Some mornings will be busy. Others will give you more time for conversation. Either way, you'll be an important part of someone's routine. You Don't Need Years of Experience to Be Great at This. Previous experience as a CNA, HHA, DSP, Nursing Assistant, Resident Assistant, or Caregiver is valuable, but experience isn't the only thing that makes someone a great caregiver. We're also interested in people who are ready to build a career in healthcare and genuinely enjoy working with older adults.
