About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Upstate New York

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Schedule: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM shift. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs.

Highlights:

• 64-bed Emergency Department with diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Unit configuration includes 40 acute beds, 2 trauma bays, 10 observation beds, 6 psych beds, and dedicated triage and fast track areas
• Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Specialty equipment experience includes rapid infuser and Arctic Sun

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license (verified through Nursys)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric patient care
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with critical drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation medications (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide required documentation
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility to qualify for travel rates (local candidates considered at adjusted compensation)
