Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 4 weekend shifts/month | Projected Start: August 31, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 and support patient-centered birth experiences, including promotion of vaginal birth opportunities per patient preference
• Perform unit procedures including OR circulating, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management (JADA system), and nitrous oxide administration
• Document accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
• Collaborate with a laborist team model including 24/7 in-house midwives, dedicated CRNA, OBGYN on call, and NNP available for high-risk deliveries
• Float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed per floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Spinning Babies training or familiarity
• STABLE program certification or experience
• Experience with couplet care and breastfeeding support, including donor milk protocols
• Familiarity with NICU collaboration and high-risk delivery attendance protocols
