Job TitleThis position plays a vital role in BARC's community-based clinical outreach, providing compassionate assessments, counseling, advocacy, and linkage to services for individuals and families across Broward County.Job DescriptionWorks under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Salary Range of $65,401.26 to $82,000 Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Requires a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, gerontology, psychology, or closely related field. Requires one (1) year of social services casework, counseling working with the substance use disorder population or closely related field. Requires six (6) months of clinical case management.Special Requirements May be required to work nights/weekends/holidays. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license. Must possess and maintain a professional license (LCSW,LMFT,LMHC or Psychologist)Preferences Doctorate from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, gerontology, psychology, counseling or closely related field (Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, Counseling Education Master's Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) or Other Qualified Professional through the Florida Certification Board 1+ years performing as a Qualified Supervisor as approved by the Florida Department of Health (requiring periodic re-certification) 1+ years working with the judicial system (i.e., probation, Drug Court, Community Court) Certification in Whole Health Action Management and/or Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WHAM or WRAP) One (1) or more years of experience working in the community with the homeless One (1) or more years of experience developing and making presentations to the community BilingualScope of WorkThe functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.Conducts clinical screenings, interviews, and biopsychosocial evaluations in both office and community settings to determine appropriate levels of care.Performs safety risk assessments in the field and initiates Baker Act procedures when appropriate.Develops treatment plans, facilitates access to treatment programs, and confers with participants, families, and caregivers regarding treatment needs.Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with community partners, law enforcement, court systems, and other governmental or service providers.Acts as an advocate for clients, offering emotional support, assisting with referrals, and serving as a liaison between clients, law enforcement, and the courts.Links participants and families to community resources such as housing, childcare, and food banks.Develops and delivers educational presentations to individuals and community organizations.Documents progress notes, tracks daily reports, maintains clinical records, and prepares accurate and timely reports using both manual and computer-based systems.Observes, evaluates, and monitors participant status and progress, documenting findings thoroughly.Participates in staff meetings, trainings, outreach events, and special projects as assigned.Drives throughout Broward County to support outreach and community engagement efforts.Must be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support outreach goals.Able to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions, including rain, extreme heat, and swamp-like areas.Performs related work as assigned.Work EnvironmentPhysical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time or sustained keyboard operations.
