BRW Contracting, Inc. is currently seeking an  Assistant Utility Pipe Superintendent to support utility construction projects throughout Central Florida. This role is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and execution of underground utility installation activities, including sewer, water, fire line, and storm drainage systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong field experience who can effectively support crews, maintain project quality, and help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Utility Pipe Superintendent with overseeing multiple utility pipe crews performing the installation of sewer, water, fire line, and storm drainage systems.
• Support daily field operations by coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain project productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, company standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist with crew scheduling, work planning, and daily production tracking.
• Conduct routine quality control inspections to verify proper installation methods and adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with utility testing, inspections, and project documentation.
• Help train, mentor, and develop new and existing crew members on safe work practices, installation procedures, and company expectations.
• Review blueprints, utility plans, profiles, and survey information to support field layout and project execution.
• Communicate regularly with the Utility Pipe Superintendent, General Superintendent, Assistant General Superintendent, and Project Managers regarding project progress, challenges, and resource needs.
• Assist in identifying and resolving field issues to minimize delays and maintain project schedules.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies, ensuring crews maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, production records, and other project-related documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground utility construction, including sewer, water, fire line, and storm drainage installation.
• Previous experience leading crews or serving in a foreman or assistant superintendent role REQUIRED.
• Working knowledge of utility construction methods, quality control procedures, testing requirements, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, grades, and survey information.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with project management and pipe/site superintendents.
• Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required- Company truck provided.
