Educational Requirements and Qualifications Registered with one of the following: American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (N), preferred Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), preferred Required Licensure with the State of Indiana. Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire. Minimum of two years experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures in a hospital environment preferred. Primary Duties Assists in the supervision of and participates in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, the calculation of results, and the maintenance, review, and application of associated computer programs. Maintains the Nuclear Medicine department according to Local, State, and Federal Laws pertaining to radioactive materials. Prepares and supervises the administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients. Develops, recommends, and implements new procedures, protocols, guidelines, and techniques to improve patient care and customer satisfaction. Prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to provide the requested diagnostic images for interpretation. Other duties as assigned.
