Medicare Supplement Underwriter & Applicant Interviewer Insurance Administrative Solutions, L.L.C. (“IAS”), Integrity company located in Clearwater, FL. Job Summary Interviewing applicants for Medicare Supplement insurance in a professional, patient, honest, confidential, and efficient manner. Primary Responsibilities Conduct phone interviews on both outbound and inbound calls. Verify all necessary information from the application over the phone with an applicant. Follow telephone script, use supplemental questionnaires when appropriate to gather detailed information about medical conditions and medications. Listen carefully to ensure accuracy of information gathered. Identify and request outstanding underwriting requirements to complete application processing. Enter completed interviews and underwriting requirements into the admin system. Determine if applicant meets underwriting guidelines set by clients. Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while demonstrating critical and analytical thinking. Primary Skills & Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent with 1 year of proven experience in insurance, medical field, or customer service. Medical insurance background preferred. Proven prescription drug knowledge required; pharmacy background preferred. Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Ability to adapt and respond to different people and tasks. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Problem solving ability with high attention to detail. Good judgment, maintain confidentiality, uphold ethical standards. Confident, self‑motivated, works both independently and within a team. Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively and efficiently. Reliable transportation, punctual and dependable. Available to work scheduled shifts, rotate schedules with other employees, and work overtime as needed. May have agent license but no active appointments.
