Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Obstetrics is sought for a facility located in Dover-Foxcroft, ME. This role involves managing care for patients in the labor and delivery department, with responsibilities that include supporting department leadership and floating to a low-acuity medical-surgical unit during periods of low census. The position begins on October 19, 2026, and concludes on January 16, 2027, with a schedule of night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certifications; current ACLS certification preferred; experience in labor and delivery or related obstetrics nursing is necessary
• Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification through the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
• Floating: Float rotation may be required; floating to a low-acuity medical-surgical department is discussed during interview
• Additional Information:
  • Facility has 25 beds with 2 Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms, 1 Triage room, 3 Postpartum/Gynecological rooms, and a Newborn Nursery
