This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements specific to insurance or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements , reconciliations, and variance reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards applicable to insurance operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
- Support process improvements and system enhancements for greater efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of accounting experience , with exposure to insurance or related industry strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP , internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills .
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
