Overview Accountability 3 and Accountability 5 are part of the role structure at INEOS Oxide. INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and oil products with a diversified portfolio and operations worldwide. Business Context : The INEOS manufacturing complex includes three world-class plants (EOA, PEG, GE) with production and support activities across multiple sites. The team comprises INEOS employees and contractors, operating in a safety‑conscious and environmentally responsible environment. Purpose of the Job : Operate lab equipment and deliver analysis results to the board operator in accordance with company discipline principles. Operate field equipment across three production units, monitor equipment as a preventative maintenance measure, and maintain a safe environment. Operate process control boards safely, direct the team with clear communications, and pursue continuous learning to rotate through roles per the training matrix. Environment / Context : On‑the‑job training across four levels (lab operations, outside operations, batch board operations, continuous board operations) with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and adherence to company policies. Team-based rotation through job functions as skills progress. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Accountability 1: Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) – Commit to INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety and Life-Saving rules; maintain safety as the highest priority; lockout/tagout as needed; issue permits for work; follow procedures; report deviations; keep assets in a safe state. Accountability 2: All Process Operators – Handle product waste per operating discipline; follow GMP; maintain process knowledge through training; perform tasks safely per SOP; housekeeping; support management and operations; comply with environmental and regulatory procedures; assist with material handling, maintenance prep, and asset care initiatives. Accountability 3: Initial Grade / Outside Operator – Record analytical results in LIMS and communicate findings; sample for quality and process status in EOA and GE plants; conduct routine lab rounds; troubleshoot lab equipment; perform outside rounds and communicate issues; align valving; lockout/tagout and issue permits; begin PEG Plant training after level reviews. Accountability 4: Mid-Grade / Board Operator – Rotate to Outside Operator tasks safely; sample analysis for PEG plant; enter batch data in Producer program; complete PEG batches; record results in LIMS and communicate issues; operate DCS control system; perform outside rounds and troubleshoot field equipment; lockout/tagout; coordinate with contract loading for PEG; begin EOA/GE Board training after level reviews. Accountability 5: Top Grade / Outside & Board Operator – Rotate between Outside and PEG Board Operator roles; monitor EOA, GE, and PEG processes; operate DCS for EOA and GE; coordinate with loading groups; communicate with raw materials feeders and service departments; record transfers and maintain process logs; participate in team decision making; perform process control adjustments and act as First Responder as needed. Skills / Competencies Education / Experience : High School or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Process Technology preferred. Technical Skills : Prior chemical plant operations experience preferred; basic chemistry knowledge preferred. Behavioral Skills : Good communication (verbal and written); good math skills; mechanical aptitude; safety minded; good computer skills; ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays; ability to wear PPE, including respirator. Physical Requirements and Environment The worker is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environments. Inside work typically involves medium physical demand; outside work includes exposure to atmospheric and potentially hazardous conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation).
