We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our patients and our team.Position OverviewCoastal Health is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Representative to join our Primary Care team at our Jacksonville Beach location.The Front Desk Representative is often the first point of contact for our patients and plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office environment.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients in a friendly and professional manner.Check patients in and out for appointments.Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility.Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and concerns.Collect copayments, deductibles, and other patient balances.Obtain and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).Obtain required forms, signatures, and documentation from patients.Communicate effectively with providers, Medical Assistants, and other office staff.Assist with referrals, records requests, and other administrative tasks as needed.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.Keep the front desk and waiting area organized and welcoming.Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.Follow Coastal Health policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred.Healthcare or primary care experience is a plus.Experience with electronic medical records preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.Strong communication and customer service skills.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.What We’re Looking ForAt Coastal Health, we believe that attitude and teamwork matter just as much as experience.
