Assistant Shop Manager – DrybarDrybar is seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Shop Manager to help lead our shop team, deliver an exceptional client experience, and drive revenue growth.This role blends leadership, operations, marketing, and stylist development to ensure our team consistently delivers the signature Drybar experience. The Assistant Shop Manager partners closely with the Shop Manager to support daily operations, develop team members, and grow the business through strong performance, retail success, and community engagement.This position is ideal for a licensed cosmetologist with leadership potential who enjoys coaching teams, building client relationships, and helping a business grow.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business PerformanceSupport shop revenue growth by monitoring and improving key performance metricsOptimize appointment scheduling to maximize revenue while managing labor costsDrive retail performance through product education and upselling strategiesSupport membership growth, client package sales, and retention initiativesMarketing & Community EngagementExecute local marketing initiatives including social media, events, and community partnershipsBuild brand visibility through outreach with local businesses, schools, and organizationsAssist in planning in-shop events, promotions, and recruitment initiativesRepresent the Drybar brand with professionalism and enthusiasmTeam Development & EducationTrain, coach, and mentor stylists and bartenders to elevate service qualitySupport interviewing, auditioning, onboarding, and training of new hiresProvide real-time coaching to improve technique, service timing, and retail successFoster a positive, motivated team culture through mentorship and recognitionOperations & Shop LeadershipServe as Manager-on-Duty when the Shop Manager is not presentEnsure adherence to brand standards, service protocols, and safety policiesMaintain shop cleanliness, organization, and smooth daily operationsSupport inventory management and ordering processesAssist with staffing schedules, payroll tracking, and operational reportingQualificationsRequiredActive state-issued Cosmetology license2–3 years experience in a salon, beauty, or similar service environmentLeadership mindset with the ability to motivate and guide a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze performance data and communicate results to leadershipComfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting or managing social media for a business or brandMarketing experience including local promotions, events, or community outreachStrong computer skills and familiarity with digital tools and scheduling systemsExperience with Booker, Canva, or similar salon/marketing softwarePrevious experience in a leadership, assistant manager, or trainer rolePassion for beauty, client service, and team developmentWhat Success Looks LikeConsistently meeting or exceeding revenue, membership, and retail goalsA well-trained team delivering the Drybar experience at a high levelStrong client satisfaction and repeat bookingsIncreased local brand awareness through community engagementCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wageTips and service commissionsCompany-sponsored health insurance planPaid Time OffEligibility for company incentives and bonusesApply today to see if the Drybar Shops® brand is a great fit for you.
