TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:Level II Trauma CenterPrimary Stroke CenterLevel III Neonatal Intensive CarePediatric Intensive CareThe most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle.Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices.Pharmacy Technician RoleYour Role:Under the direct supervision of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system.Responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, and delivering supplies to patient care areas.Reports To:Director/Pharmacy (JC: 039358), Supervisor/Pharmacy (JC: 024601), or Pharmacist (JC: 021702)Supervises:NoneQualificationsMust be registered with the State of Florida and preparing to take the Tech 1 test.Required Education:High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program.Required Experience:NonePreferred Experience:Six (6) to twelve (12) months of pharmacy experience.Required Certification/License/Registry:FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician).CPhT credential from the PTCB or the NHA within one (1) year post-hire.Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
