Full-Stack Java Developer

Hard requirements (all must be present — non-negotiable):

• 5+ years Java/J2EE enterprise application development
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate
• RESTful web services and Microservices in AWS
• Multi-threading and Executor framework (must be explicitly demonstrated in work history, not just listed in skills)
• JavaScript front-end: HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, AJAX, JSON
• JSP and JSTL
• SQL design, stored procedures, query optimization
• JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat deployment experience
• Web application security best practices
• GitHub Copilot (any level)
• Angular — critical note Angular depth is the single most common reason candidates fail the technical screen. Please do not submit a candidate whose Angular experience cannot be verified by version number. Before submitting, confirm:
• What version of Angular did the candidate most recently use?
• Was it used in a production application or primarily listed as a skill?
• Can the candidate describe a component or feature they personally built?

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE enterprise application development, with demonstrated ability to speak to specific projects and technical decisions.

Back-End

• Core Java including multi-threading, Executor framework, and concurrency patterns
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, MyBatis
• RESTful web services design and implementation
• Microservices architecture on AWS
• JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat application server deployment
• SQL design, stored procedures, and query optimization
• XML/XSLT, JSON

Front-End — candidates must demonstrate current, hands-on experience

• Angular version 14 or higher — component architecture, reactive forms, RxJS, routing, and integration with Spring Boot REST APIs
• TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, AJAX
• JSP, JSTL

DevOps & Tooling

• GitHub Copilot in Agent mode — active use in development workflow required
• Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Web application security best practices (OWASP, OAuth2, JWT)

Preferred Qualifications

• P&C insurance domain experience
• Performance tuning experience (JVM, database query optimization, front-end load performance)
• AWS certifications

Job Responsibilities

• Java/J2EE enterprise application development, with demonstrated ability to speak to specific projects and technical decisions.
• An even split between middle-tier Java development and modern front-end development. (Candidates must demonstrate genuine depth on both sides of the stack — this is not a backend role with incidental UI responsibilities.)
• Core Java including multi-threading, Executor framework, and concurrency patterns
• Microservices architecture on AWS
• JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat application server deployment
• SQL design, stored procedures, and query optimization
