Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation and Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, developing and implementing ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the ordering physician. Candidates must be prepared to manage a full caseload independently and be knowledgeable about determining re-evaluation timelines based on insurance authorizations. Flexibility to work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays is necessary based on hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for assigned patients.
• Plan and implement tailored physical therapy programs.
• Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs.
• Independently manage a full caseload of patients.
• Work with EMR systems: Net Health Therapy and Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient and acute care settings, working with adult patients.
• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist License required upon the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
