Facilities Project Manager, MEP Infrastructure

UT MD Anderson seeks a Facilities Project Manager to support its Facilities Planning, Design and Construction department, which is responsible for delivering capital projects that enable world‑class patient care, research, and operational excellence. The Facilities Project Manager plays a critical role in managing facility‑related projects from initiation through completion. The role requires expertise in construction processes, stakeholder coordination, and project management disciplines to drive successful outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to directly impact critical infrastructure projects that support UT MD Anderson’s mission. Responsibilities Represent Facilities Planning, Design and Construction in managing one or more assigned projects. Assist in managing complex major and less complex capital facility projects. Apply knowledge of construction processes, product application, and building/infrastructure component assembly. Integrate and coordinate project elements, delegating activities and managing stakeholders. Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, changes, priorities, and communication. Ensure compliance with institutional and industry standards. Job Specific Competencies Project Management: manage scope, budget, schedule, contract compliance; guide project team. Compliance/Regulations: manage contractual compliance, coordinate approvals with relevant agencies. Documentation/Recordkeeping: develop and manage project documentation, reports, and records. Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering or related field. Experience: At least three years of project management/construction management experience; preferred five years with major academic healthcare/research facility experience. Owner‑side project management experience. Strong oral and written communication skills, accountability, and proactive leadership. Comfortable working onsite at least three days per week.
