Job Summary

Under the general supervision of a classroom teacher assists in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students at an assigned elementary school site; prepares instructional materials and performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned. Often required to support more than one teacher and classroom.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *Graduation from high school or equivalent.*Minimum of 48 college units or AA degree or have a passing score on the District proficiency test in reading writing and math.*Knowledge of basic subjects taught in District schools including arithmetic grammar spelling language and reading.*Usage of correct English grammar spelling punctuation and vocabulary.*Able to perform routine clerical and record keeping tasks and operate a variety of educational and office related machines and and writing communication skills; able to follow oral and written to demonstrate an understanding patient and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups and ethnic provide the following required documents with your application:*Resume*Recent Letters of Recommendation (Highly Recommended)*High School Diploma or equivalent*Copy of College Transcripts - REQUIRED if applicable*** Please use a valid email address as all applicants will be contacted via email***Only candidates who meet minimum requirements and submit all required documentation by the deadline date will be considered to interviews.
