Broom/Sweeper Operator - Level II

The Broom/Sweeper Operator - Level II is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by operating specialized vehicles or equipment to clean streets, parking lots, construction sites, or industrial areas.

This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

1. Operate street sweepers, power brooms, or vacuum trucks to clean assigned areas
2. Remove dirt, debris, leaves, and other materials from streets, parking lots, and worksites
3. Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of sweeping equipment
4. Report mechanical issues or needed repairs promptly
5. Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws
6. Use proper disposal methods for collected waste materials
7. Maintain accurate logs of work completed, fuel usage, and equipment condition
8. Assist with site cleanup on construction or municipal projects when needed
9. Operate machinery to perform tasks efficiently and safely
10. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

At a minimum, the Motor Grader/Blade Operator II must have (3)+ years of relevant, proven, experience operating construction equipment and total station leveling systems. National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certification is preferred.
