Material Handler / Machine Operator

Shawnee, KS
$20.00 - $21.00/hour DOE

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler / Machine Operator for a metal manufacturing facility in the Shawnee area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is willing to learn new skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities:

Load and unload trucks by hand and/or forklift
Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility
Assist customers, suppliers, and partners in a professional manner
Work with materials including steel, aluminum, copper, and other metals
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Learn and assist with various shop equipment and machinery, including:
- Bandsaw
- Drill Press
- Brake Press
- Shear Press
- Ironworker
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Support production and shop operations as needed

Qualifications:

Forklift experience required
Willingness to learn machine operation and metal shop processes
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Schedule & Pay:

Monday - Friday
6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00/hour depending on experience and interview
