Position Overview
Prime Healthcare and Central Maine Medical Center are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a growing cardiovascular program in Lewiston. This opportunity offers the ability to practice within a collaborative, physician-focused environment while serving a broad regional patient population across central Maine.
The incoming physician will join an established cardiology team with access to advanced cardiac services, experienced clinical support staff, and a strong referral network. Candidates with a patient-centered approach and strong interventional skills are encouraged to apply.

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including coronary angiography, PCI, and coronary stenting
Provide inpatient consultative services and outpatient cardiovascular care
Collaborate with cardiologists, hospitalists, APPs, intensivists, and ancillary staff
Participate in shared call coverage schedule
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with quality standards
Support evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Completion of accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maine
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
