Position Summary

RPM Builds is seeking an experienced Shop and Equipment Operations Manager to take full ownership of its shop, vehicle fleet, tools, hydraulic jacking systems, inventory, and equipment-readiness program. This is a highly independent leadership position for a proven bolted-tank professional capable of establishing priorities, solving operational problems, and ensuring field crews have the equipment and support needed to perform successfully. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, and detail oriented.

Key Responsibilities

·    Oversee daily shop, yard, storage, and equipment operations while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

·    Enforce safety and asset-control procedures.

·    Maintain preventive-maintenance schedules and service records for company vehicles and trailers, including mileage, inspections, repairs, tires, registrations, and required documentation.

·    Coordinate routine service and outside repairs, identify mechanical issues early, and keep vehicles clean, equipped, and job ready.

·    Maintain accurate inventories and manage check-in, check-out, assignments, transfers, returns, inspections, repairs, and replacement of tools and equipment.

·    Inspect and maintain hydraulic jacks, hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps, and related equipment; remove unsafe equipment from service and coordinate repairs or rebuilds.

·    Prepare vehicles, tools, equipment, materials, and consumables for project mobilization; receive, inspect, clean, repair, store, and reconcile items after demobilization.

·    Maintain stock levels, verify incoming items, communicate purchasing needs, and reduce unnecessary purchases through accurate inventory control.

·    Coordinate with field and office teams, vendors, and leadership regarding equipment needs, status, tracking systems, and urgent support requests.

·    Conduct asset audits, investigate missing or damaged items, update records promptly, and provide status reports to management.

Qualifications

·    Strong organization, follow-through, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

·    Ability to set priorities, recognize maintenance concerns, strong leadership and maintain accountability.

·    Clear communication and the ability to coordinate with field and office teams.

·    Commitment to workplace safety and accurate record keeping.

·    Ability to travel to field locations occasionally for maintenance or operational support. CDL is preferred.
