Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under supervision, providing basic nursing assistance and assisting residents with daily living activities. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licenses/Certification: Valid CNA certification in the state of employment. Experience: Six months of experience in a long‑term care environment preferred. Job Functions Respond to signal lights and bells to determine resident needs. Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence care. Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding. Assist residents with range‑of‑motion exercises and movement to wheelchairs or activity areas. Assist residents with turning and positioning in bed. Assist residents with ambulation for short distances within the facility. Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food & fluid intake and output, as directed. Perform other tasks as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
