- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in tandem with physicians or autonomously (per credentialing)
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding wellness, preventative care, and health management
- Prescribing medications and therapies appropriate to your practice scope
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive and comprehensive healthcare
- Maintaining accurate and complete documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Georgia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to attain these within 90 days)
- Solid clinical judgment combined with a caring approach
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Flexibility in fast-paced, patient-focused settings
- Proficiency with EMR systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies
- A collaborative attitude and devotion to evidence-based practices
