Role Statement Create exceptional customer experiences by answering questions, recommending the appropriate items to complete construction and home improvement projects, and maintaining the facility in a clean and organized fashion. Lead assigned department and assist with any issues that may arise. Outcomes for Success Act in alignment with our Core Values to create exceptional customer experiences. Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure you, your peers, our customers, and suppliers remain safe while in our facilities. Understand and follow the TAL PPE requirements as outlined in the TAL PPE Matrix by wearing the required PPE at all times and ensure your team does the same. In conjunction with the branch leadership, responsible for the operational performance of their assigned department. Understand and maintain quality store presentation as outlined in the TAL Store Standards document. Sets ambitious sales and margin goals. Strategically develops department team and customer base to meet or exceed agreed upon sales and margin goals. Assists customers with product information, selection, and purchase. Offers solutions for out-of-stock items. Maintains department inventory, including cycle counts, to maximize sales and inventory turn. Assists in training department and store personnel in your assigned functions, including sales and customer service techniques. Empowered to direct the work of others by assigning tasks, creating schedules, communicating priorities, and motivating the team. Upholds the highest level of customer service to ensure an exceptional experience for our contractors, Do It Yourselfers, and homeowners.
