Certified Surgical Technologist II

Overview Sentara Obici Medical Center is seeking a full‑time Certified Surgical Technologist in Suffolk, VA. The surgical technologist ensures that the operating room is properly prepared with necessary instruments and equipment, assists the surgical team throughout the procedure by passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon. The role involves maintaining patient safety and ensuring that the surgical environment is organized, clean, and sterile. The surgical technologist assists in applying dressings, securing surgical drapes, and transferring patients to recovery areas. The candidate must adhere to infection control protocols and sterile techniques to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. The candidate works closely with the surgical team to ensure smooth and effective procedures. Work Shift: First (Days). Hours: 36 hours per week. Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.
